Platform unifies six modules across federated storage, AI orchestration, and external publishing — enabling regulated and national-scale customers to deploy AI within their own infrastructure
MCLEAN, VIRGINIA — Monday, May 18, 2026 —
ioMoVo today announced the launch of its governed agentic AI platform for enterprise content, bringing AI-driven discovery, federated storage, and sovereign deployment to organizations managing digital assets across distributed environments. The platform is now generally available, with new capabilities including Enhanced Document Intelligence, file-level AI through io Assistant, Prompt Group automation, Archive Files, Portal Expiry, and storage connectors for Seagate and CEPH.
The platform is architected around six modules — ioCloud, ioHub, ioAI, ioFlow, ioPilot, and ioPortal — coordinated by an agent-to-agent architecture of specialized agents handling ingestion, metadata generation, transcription and OCR, compliance scanning, workflow orchestration, and external publishing. A Capture Layer enables direct content ingest into the governed library at the moment of creation.
Platform Highlights
Governed Agentic AI architecture
Specialized agents coordinate AI tasks across the content lifecycle. Customers configure decision gates that involve human intervention — compliance flags, workflow escalations, and external approval steps. The platform doesn't pretend to be fully autonomous. Coordinating specialized agents with clear human checkpoints is the right model for enterprise content operations.
Sovereign deployment for regulated and national-scale environments
ioMoVo supports on-premises AI inference on GPU-accelerated customer infrastructure — open-source LLMs and vision models running on-prem with no cloud round-trip for inference, training, or platform telemetry. Customers in financial services, healthcare, life sciences, public sector, and the Saudi Arabia / MENA region operate the platform with this configuration.
BYO-AI architecture
The platform is model agnostic. Customers integrate commercial models, including Claude, OpenAI, Gemini, Azure OpenAI, and AWS Bedrock; open-source models, including LLaMA, Mistral, and Falcon; and specialized vision and multimodal models, including CLIP, BLIP, YOLO, and Segment Anything — without proprietary integration layers.
Enhanced Document Intelligence
New Document Intelligence capabilities support OCR across PDF, DOCX, DOC, PPT, PPTX, and image-based files with precise position mapping, structured content extraction, and click-to-locate navigation. Document Intelligence is searchable across the platform and through ioPilot, ioMoVo's natural-language search and discovery experience.
io Assistant for file-level AI
io Assistant brings a contextual AI companion inside every file preview, grounded in the asset itself. Built-in tools include Web Search for real-time information, Thinking for multi-step reasoning, and Canvas for visualizing ideas and workflows.
Prompt Group automation
Prompt Group, a new capability in ioMoVo's governance module, lets administrators bundle related AI prompts — such as Document Analysis, Image Tagging, and Compliance Checks — and apply them together during file indexing. Every prompt result links directly to its source asset, transforming ad-hoc AI workflows into repeatable, structured, and auditable processes.
Archive Files for retention and protection
New Archive Files capability allows customers to lock selected files into a protected state — disabling indexing, translation, transcription, and other automated processing while preserving copy, move, rename, and delete operations. Ideal for finalized documents, sensitive files, and reference materials that must remain untouched.
Portal Expiry for time-controlled sharing
Portal Expiry adds custom expiry date and time controls to ioPortal — the platform's configurable, no-code external sharing capability. Once a portal reaches its expiry date, access is automatically restricted with no manual intervention required.
Federated storage with new Seagate and CEPH connectors
Two new storage connectors — Seagate and CEPH — join existing support for AWS S3, Azure Blob, Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, Backblaze B2, and on-prem object stores. Customer content stays in place across distributed storage tiers; ioMoVo adds AI tagging, search, and workflow orchestration across all connected storage. No data migration required.
Marketplace and integration availability
ioMoVo's Adobe Creative Cloud plugin is published on Adobe Exchange. Microsoft 365 add-ins for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook are published on Microsoft AppSource. The ioMoVo Panel for Avid Media Composer is available as a direct download from iomovo.io/plugins/avid, bringing AI-driven asset management and governance directly into Media Composer.
Executive Commentary
“ioMoVo's platform fundamentally changes how regulated and content-intensive organizations can adopt AI. Customers told us they needed AI that respects existing governance, integrates with their existing storage, and gives them the ability to deploy on their own terms. Sovereign deployment, BYO-AI architecture, and federated storage aren't aspirational — they're how the platform was designed from day one.”
— Ann Marvin, Founder, Peacockhill
“Sovereign AI is becoming a priority for organizations operating in regulated and national-scale environments. With ioMoVo's architecture, customers can deploy AI directly within their own infrastructure—whether in Saudi Arabia or other regions—ensuring that data, processing, and intelligence remain fully within their control.”
— Jay Hajeer, CEO of ioMoVo
“ioMoVo's customers benefit from cost-effective, secure cloud storage that scales with their content libraries. The Backblaze B2 integration with ioMoVo gives organizations a path to govern AI workflows across distributed environments without forcing them to migrate their data — that's the kind of flexibility our Powered By Backblaze partner program is designed to enable.”
— Dave McKeen, GM, Powered By, Backblaze
“Editorial teams shouldn't have to choose between modern AI capabilities and the post-production environment they've built their craft around. The ioMoVo Panel for Avid Media Composer brings AI-driven asset management and governance directly into Media Composer — so editors stay in their workflow while their organizations gain the discovery and governance capabilities modern productions demand.”
